The Brandogram Typeface project is the result of combining two of my passions – logo design and type design – into a single product: a tool for creatives to develop unique monogram designs fast and easy.
The final result of this typeface includes up to 24 designs variations per letter, which leads to an unlimited amount of combinations that one can do while creating monograms. All designs have geometric styles, are well calculated to fit perfectly together and can be combined to create monograms that have up to 4 letters (more than that and you’d call it a wordmark anyway).
For me, this was a work in project for several years, developing it step by step as seeing that monogram designs were more becoming more popular with clients as time passed. And in this tool I’ve combined everything I’ve learned and the style I’ve developed after working on hundreds of monogram and type based logo designs.
This has been my favourite type design project so far – even though I consider it being more of a design tool than a typeface – and I found it fitting to give it it’s own website. That’s how FontsForMonograms.COM was born, a website created to set this as a standalone project dedicated to monogram designs.
Currently under development is a new Script style for the typeface, which will combine perfectly with the rest of the sans-serif and slab-serif styles that Brandogram already has. Once finalised, it will be added to the project’s website and to this page.
