After defining the visual identity of DCI, it was time to get started on the website. The goals for it were: to create a web design that is consistent and representative for the new visual identity, to present the company and the services that it offers and to make it bilingual.
I’ve started by creating a design system for the website using the colours of the logo and choosing the right typeface that could be representative of the visual identity and available as a webfont. After setting up the design system, I’ve started building the pages based on the text content offered by the client and using stock images that I’ve researched to fit with the content.
The website was first developed in Romanian, and once we’ve reached a final form for it, the bilingual module was implemented and the English version was done. After everything was ready, the website was moved to the client’s main domain and server and final setups were done.
