For this project the client has reached us wishing to do a visual identity and website update because she felt that something was missing. The mission overall was to make it – both the logo and the website – look more professional and more modern.
The first task was updating the logo by doing a slight refresh of it to make it align with our goals. I kept the original layout of the logo but reworked the symbol to be more balanced, chose a better and cleaner font and updated the colours to make it more modern. Once the refreshed logo was decided, we went ahead with the website development.
On the website we had the goal of keeping the old content (text) and structure, but update the design to be more modern and to fit the refreshed visual identity. Along the way, the content was restructured a bit and I’ve also implemented a job system within the website. The job system’s purpose was for the client to add new jobs and people would be able to apply individually to any of them, automatic the process.
For the job system I’ve built a custom content type using JetEngine for adding new jobs, and then connected the jobs to individual forms that had pre-filled informations of the jobs, so potential candidates only had to fill in their contact details and upload a CV. Once a form is submitted, an email is sent to the client with the informations of the candidate and the job for which they applied.
The website also included a blog, which I update occasionally with articles provided by the client, thanks to our continued collaboration for website maintenance.
