Creative work

WordPress Web Designer, Elementor & Crocoblock Specialist

I had a passion for building websites ever since I was a kid, making my first website probably around age 12. Ever since, I’ve started creating websites for my personal projects using WordPress, even ending up selling some of those. In time, as I’ve learned more and more about the web design field, I’ve started creating websites for all types of businesses.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Building Professional & Custom Websites Using WordPress & Elementor

Thanks to my background and experience in graphic design, I am able to create custom designs for the clients’ websites, designs that are consistent with their visual identities. I have never been a big fan of coding, therefore I’ve become an expert in the use of Elementor PRO, which I use to build custom design systems for the websites I build.

In order to develop professional and well built websites, here’s a list with some of the tasks and responsibilities that I have:

Custom UI/UX Design Systems

For each website I build, I create a custom UI/UX design system that is easy to use and consistent with the brand’s visual identity.

Optimising for Fast Loading Speeds

I focus on building websites that load fast, making them friendly for both users and search engines. First step is using a light theme as Hello.

OnPage SEO Optimisation

To make it friendly for search engines, I do OnPage SEO optimisation for the websites I built. That includes focusing on headings, alt tags and more.

Copywriting & Media Direction

I take on small tasks for copywriting, adapting or creating texts based on project needs. I also do research and choose the right media for the website.

Before finishing a website, I make all the needed changes to ensure it works well on any device, from desktop to tablet and mobile devices.

Build Custom Site Structures

Some projects are more complex than other and need custom structures built. That includes CPTs, dynamic forms & more. Here I use Crocoblock plugins.

Website Transfer to Another Server

All projects are built on our own server and are transferred to the client’s main domain and server once the final website is approved.

Third Party Integrations

For mostly every project I integrate Google services (Analytics, Ads etc.), and for sometimes other integrations like CRMs, email marketing and more.

Website Management

After a project is done, we offer clients the possibility to leave the worry of the website in our hands for updates, backups, maintenance and more.

Tools & Resources

What Tools I Use for Building WordPress Websites

As a web designer, I use a range of tools, from plugins to applications, devices, and libraries. And let’s not overlook the traditional pen and paper for wireframing, planning, and sketching. Below is a list of some of my go-to tools that I rely on whenever I’m working on a web design project, whether for myself or for a client.

MacBook Pro

6 years ago I switched from a Windows PC to a MacBook Pro device and never looked back. Currently working on a M3 Max MacBook Pro laptop.

WordPress_blue_logo

WordPress CMS

I’ve been using WordPress for more than 18 years and it’s been the CMS that I’ve used for (mostly) all of the websites that I’ve created.

Crocoblock

For the past couple of years I’ve been using Crocoblock’s plugins to create more complex and dynamic websites, both for clients and for myself.

Illustrator CC

In web design, I use Illustrator CC to create, modify or export assets that I need. That includes logos, vectors and sometimes even wireframes.

Photoshop CC

Photoshop CC is my go to tool for editing photo related content and exporting them as optimised files for web usage (Save for Web option).

Adobe_XD_CC_icon

Adobe XD

Sometimes I use Adobe XD to design UI/UX layouts before turning them into actual website using WordPress and Elementor PRO.

html-1
css-3

HTML & CSS

I know the basics of HTML and CSS, which helps me to find and fix issues, do customisations that Elementor PRO doesn’t offer and speed up my work.

Dreamweaver CC

I don’t use this tool that often, but whenever I have a project that requires some HTML & CSS modifications, I use Adobe Dreamweaver CC.

Dropbox_Icon

Dropbox

For over a decade, Dropbox has been the main cloud for my files. And now it still helps me store website backups but also with client project deliveries.

FileZilla_logo

Filezilla

For the past few years I’ve been using Filezilla for website transfer and to access the server via FTP. It’s helpful to transfer or edit website files.

todoist-icon-svgrepo-com

Todoist

I’ve been using Todoist for a few years now to organise my tasks and projects and to plan them ahead. It helps me keep track of what needs to be done.
