Mockup Assets is a membership-based digital product designed to solve a recurring problem for designers: accessing realistic, high-quality mockups that feel grounded in real environments and everyday use cases.
The project was built as an end-to-end brand and digital system, from naming and visual identity to information architecture, membership logic, and scalable content delivery.
Designed and developed on WordPress, the platform uses a custom design system alongside a tailored membership structure built with Elementor PRO and Crocoblock, allowing the product to grow organically as the library expands.
This case study documents how brand design, UX structure, and technical decisions come together to form a scalable digital solution, not just a website.
When planning the project, the goal was to define a brand foundation that could scale as a digital product, not just function as a visual identity.
The naming needed to be clear, descriptive, and discoverable, supporting both marketing efforts and organic search visibility. The initial working name, MoMockups, lacked clarity and relevance, so it was refined into Mockup Assets, a name that directly communicates value, use case, and audience intent.
The design system started from a monogram-based logo built as a flexible brand component rather than a standalone mark. The symbol was created using the Brandogram Typeface (Stencil Two style), while the logotype uses a lowercase construction to mirror the primary search phrase and create contrast with the emblem.
The color system was designed to support clarity and usability across digital environments. Black acts as a structural base, while a two-tone yellow gradient functions as a scalable accent system, ensuring strong contrast in both light and dark interfaces and reinforcing the brand’s creative positioning.
This approach ensured the brand could support future features, content expansion, and product growth without requiring redesigns.

With the brand foundation defined, the next challenge was translating the brand system into a functional digital product.
The main objective was to design an information architecture that could support a growing library of assets, multiple content types, and a membership-based access model, while remaining intuitive for users navigating large volumes of content.
The structure was built around clarity and scalability: separating public content from gated content, defining clear categories and filters, and creating predictable user flows for discovery, preview, and download.
The digital system was designed to extend the brand logic rather than override it. Typography, spacing, color usage, and UI components were derived directly from the brand design system, ensuring visual consistency across marketing pages, product listings, dashboards, and account areas.
This approach allowed the website to function not just as a presentation layer, but as a scalable product interface that could evolve alongside the platform’s content and features.

The technology stack was chosen to support a scalable, modular platform, capable of handling dynamic content, gated access, and evolving business requirements.
Rather than relying on rigid templates or off-the-shelf solutions, the system was built to adapt as the product and user base grow.
Mockup Assets was built on the WordPress CMS platform, using Elementor PRO for a custom design system and Crocoblock plugins for dynamic content and membership system.
The design system was built to translate the brand identity into a consistent, flexible interface, supporting a wide range of layouts, content types, and user interactions.
Using Elementor PRO and their dedicated light theme called Hello, I’ve built the entire design system from scratch to match the visual identity of Mockup Assets. The design system included:
The membership system was designed to support multiple access levels, gated content, and user-specific features, all tightly integrated with the content structure.
To achieve this, the system was built using Crocoblock plugins. In order to make it work, automatically, I’ve used the following plugins:
JetEngine was used to build the core data structure and logic of the platform, enabling dynamic content, user-specific features, and scalable content relationships.
JetFormBuilder was used to handle user onboarding, membership activation and role management through automated form workflows. It integrates with PayPal subscriptions, and follows through with the gateways in order to update a user to the correct user role.
JetSmartFilters was used to enable advanced content discovery through dynamic filtering and search. From search to sorting, orientation and visual filters.
This plugin is not part of Crocoblock, but was necessary to create additional user roles for the membership.

To support informed decisions and long-term growth, the platform was complemented by a set of analytics and automation integrations.
This project demonstrates how a brand-led design system can scale into a complex digital platform without losing clarity or coherence.
Mockup Assets evolved into a structured, membership-based ecosystem where content, access levels, and user experiences are tightly connected through a flexible architecture.
The result is a platform that supports growth, experimentation, and new business opportunities, while remaining intuitive and easy to maintain.
This approach reflects how I work with brands: building systems that are designed to evolve, not just launch.

Let’s start by understanding where your brand is now and where it needs to go.
If you’re looking to clarify, evolve, or scale your brand, this is a good place to start. Whether you already have a clear direction or are still defining it, I work with businesses to translate objectives into coherent, scalable brand design systems.
